Social Bite

Social Bite is a Scottish social enterprise founded by Dr. Alice Thompson and Josh Littlejohn MBE in 2012. They were young, naïve and idealistic – traits that have served Social Bite well! They started by opening cafes and a production kitchen in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen and Livingston that would feed, employ and support the homeless community.

Now, in 2019, Social Bite is a national scale charity, giving over 140,000 items of food and drink to those experiencing homelessness in Scotland last year. Here at Social Bite, we have become known for being a positive disruptive force, campaigning (including raising millions of pounds) for new housing policies that better protect and invest in people struggling with homelessness in our country.
